Have long since moved to rosescented.livejournal.com.

But I do like this blog and may come back every once in a while.

Life is crazy.

Bay Ambassador training, bus trip and pic from Study Camp

Went for Bay Ambassador training this morning. One of the things we learned were:

Good day Singapore! Be prepared to scream and party!!!

I'm getting quite excited about being an usher at this year's NDP. Haha. It sounds like it's be challenging and fun.

The training was not too bad. A lot people were enthusiatic. There were some cheering and one of the groups even made bands for their group. Didn't get to meet everyone in my group today, but so far, everybody is friendly.

We were discussing what we should do in different scenarios today. Haha. The role-playing in the LT was funny. The groups that had to present were sporting. I just found out today that it can be quite daunting ushering the spectators on National Day. One of my group-mates was telling me about how she met an unreasonable man last year who spoiled her day. And the person-in-charge training us told us about a complain about one of the ushers last year.
We'll be going down to the parade ground next week to familiarise ourselves with the place. It's the first year the NDP will be held at Marina Bay! Sadly, I'm stationed outside the gallery. My group (O1) will be in charge of checking tickets. Ah! So, we might not get to watch the parade. Hopefully, we can watch at least one of the rehearsals. I can't wait to see what this year's NDP will be like. It's always so grand.

A picture of Group 6B from Study Camp! (That boy in blue is some extra person who steped in as I was taking the picture.)

Don't be fooled by their innocent smiles. They are far from innocent. They are bold and outspoken. Not at all like what my friends and I were in primary school. Haha.

Had econs lesson and Maths lecture yesterday. The Maths lecture can be summed up in three words: "Painful, painful, painful." Yes, it was painful on three different levels.

Painful physically. I can't think of anyone with a more jarring voice than that lecturer. (I have no idea who that lecturer is.) My ears were ringing with her voice even as I left the LT. Nanny Fine better watch out. That Maths lecturer is a strong competitor.

Painful intellectually. I realised how much I've forgotten. And checking the answer for the revision worksheet was a horrible process.

Painful emotionally. My blood boiled so many times throughout the lecture. Her constant, "Are you all listening?" when the answer was clear as day got on my nerves. It was a struggle for me to copy the answers at her speed too.

Fortunately, Ee Ting writes quickly. Haha.

Need to go now. Au revoir.

Just updating... and I didn't rebond my hair! + IC Camp

It's been quite a while since I last blogged. Always want to blog, especially after certain events or perfomances, but tend to put it off. Anyway, right now, I'm updating because of a nudge from a friend who said that, and I quote, you rebond hair then will blog."

Haha. It's so hard to write down all the happenings since my last entry. JC life is crazy, but then there's also something new happening each day! However, the stress level is awful, around the week 7 and 8 of term 2, everyone was falling sick and falling asleep in class. It's almost impossible to complete the mountains of homeworks given.

Enough of schoolwork, now on to something fun which happened recently- Interact Camp! Just came back today. It started on Friday and ended today. There are too many things to say about it, but I'll try to give the gist of it. Haha. It was fun and glad that I got to know more people from my CCA. Before this camp, I hardly knew who was in Interact Club (IC) as we tend to work only with people in our departments.

The camp was crazy. I suppose to highlights were the Night Walk and the performance.

The Night Walk was carried out on the first night. I was looking forward to it from the start. Before the Night Walk, we had to watch a Thai movie titled "Ghost Game". The images were gory, but the plot was mind-numbing (though Jelvin said the movie is suppose to be thought-provoking.) After the movie, we sat at the canteen extension and listened to ghost stories as we waited for our turns to go through the Walk. With each story, my excitement ebbed away and was replaced with fear. Haha. There are so many ghost stories about the school! It's horrible. I shall never look at the school in the same way again. The route for the Walk was well-planned. The seniors really put in a lot of effort to scare us.

On the second day, we had "Special Games" (Haha. =D Someone said that that programme was given that name because the seniors couldn't up of another name.) That night, each group had to put up a performance. The group I was in- Group 1 aka the Nooblets, put up a skit. Our skit was an advertisement for Nooblets tablets (that will "Bring you from zero to hero") I'm so proud of the Nooblets. It was not bad for a skit that was created in one and a half days. The performances by the other group were good too. Ocean Nine put up a catwalk, BB (short for Banana Boleh) had a skit about "Bananas in Pyjamas" and Nubblets had a did an advertisement for "Anything" and "Whatever".

Today, we didn't do much, just PT, cleaning up and prize-giving.

Had a great time at the camp. I hope that we, the IC J1s can do just as great a job next year, or perhaps, even better. =)

Oh yes! Need to dash off soon. Maybe I'll write about pre-u seminar the next time I blog. Haha. By then, it will be old old news. Pre-u sem was fun, though at times the panel discussions put us to sleep. Can't wait to meet up with my seminar group again. Those people are wild and crazy!

Need to go. Will try to update even if I don't rebond my hair. Haha. =D

CNY Eve and rebonded hair

It's Chinese New Year Eve. Sigh. I don't know what to do now. I want to go to Plaza Singapura, but it's too late to go out. Reunion dinner will be starting soon. Don't know why I don't feel as excited about CNY as I did in the past years.

Went to get my hair rebonded yesterday at a shop near Parkway. I like my hair now. (Not that I used to hate my hair, but anyway...) It's not as fizzy and 'pong' as before. I used to think it looked like a lion's mane. And I got bangs now. Jacq and Lizzie were persuading me to get them. It's was super weird at first, but getting used to it now. Haha... Everyone at home was so shocked when they saw me. Oh. I like that hair saloon! I think I'll go there from now on if I need a hair cut.

Oh, yeah, met with Lizzie, Jacq, Nawal, Jozette Beverly and Sumathi in TKGS before going to the hair saloon yesterday. I had lunch at the TKGS canteen. I miss that chicken rice stall so much. The stall-keepers are so nice. They place the food on the place so nicely and wipe the edges of the plate before passing it to you.

There's not much to write about today. So far, for the day, I've only been reading and playing the piano, and watching a bit of TV.

Will update another time, or maybe later.

Change change change...

I realised that I've not updated for such a long time!!! The previous time was after the Chinese 'O's and now, not only have the 'O' levels ended, the results have been released. Oh my. Haha... So whatever I write about with regards to the 'O' levels and the results is OLD NEWS!

A lot, a lot has happened. After the PAE, I went to TPJC, and it's fun there. I met all sorts of crazy people, and Jacq is there too! We've been taking the same subject combination and we're in the same CG. I love our CG- 07A03!!! Sadly, after the JAE, we'll get split up. The past few weeks have been a whirl of events. So many things happened. The CG is always coming up with something new and mad.

My results were okay. Actually, I'm not happy with my results, but after thinking over about things, I decided to accept it and look ahead! I'm not going to mope over my 'O's results, I will focus on doing my best in JC. I put TPJC as my first choice. Hope to stay. Actually, I'm kind of afraid that I made the wrong choice.

It's quite late now, so I'll end here for now. Haha... I think I'll try to start updating regularly from now on.

Happy Valentine's Day to all!!! =)

Post Chinese paper and watched X-Men

Pretty relieved now that the Chinese 'O' level paper is over.

After the paper, went to watch X-Men with Jacq, Lizzie, Kerri and Li Shan. The show was nothing spectacular. I think the first two were better. The dialouge in X-Men 3 was so predictable and cliche. Especially the "It's what you want." (by Angel) and "It's for you." (by Wolverine) Ugh... It's so annoying when they have scenes like that. And the whole show was so 'emo', everyone looked like they were close to tears all the time... even Wolverine!!! And what happened to Jean Grey?! She looked weird. But overall, it wasn't too bad, it was rather entertaining.

Anyway, after the show, walked around for a while. Jacq, Lizzie, Lishan and I spent about 45 mins wandering around in HMV. Then went home.

Will be going out again tmr. Haha... Think I might be getting my ears pierced.

After the mid-years

Just realised that I last updated on the 31 of Jan, which is a very long time ago. Was supposed to update last Wed but was too lazy. ANyway, quite a fair bit happened recently.

Last Wed: The Mid-years finally ended, and Jacq and Lizzie came to my house. It was quite fun, watch "Walk the Line." Jerraine was there too, and she was crazy. She screamed at the part Johnny Cash proposed to June Carter. And Jacq left her socks on the floor and stank the whole place up.

Thurs: Went out with Kiran, Melissa and Naqiah, and Renee.
I can't believe I watch "Aquamarine". We were supposed to watch "Take the Lead" but they didn't have a screening, so we ended up watching "Aquamarine". It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but the show was very corny. I burst out laughing at the part, Aquamarine's (the mermaid's name) legs turned into a tail when she fell into the water. That part was so... corny, and Kiran kept telling me to stop it.

Kiran, Melissa, Naqiah and I were the only ones in the cinema, except for this guy, who sat all by himself at the back of the cinema. Can you believe it, a guy all by himself, watching "Aquamarine". Eek.

Fri: nothing, went to school and watched a movie.
After school, I went to Tampines. In the cinema, there was this woman with her daughter who won't stop talking. And when I asked them to lower their volume, the woman said, "what? What's wrong, we're just talking, we're not even shouting." That bloody woman is the most annoying pig I've ever met. She's not even shouting and her voice is so bloody resounding. And she asked me to move. And she and her daughter chewed so bloody loudly- they chew with their mouths wide open. And when her daughter (who was sitting next to me isn't eating or talking, she'd make this funny throat noisy, she wasn't clearing her throat, she'd jsut make this rumbling noises in her throat. They were so BLOODY ANNOYING!!!

Sat: Nothing, tuition and lessons.

Sun: Went out.
Went out with my parents, sister and cousin. Didn't really do anything, jsut shopping and eating.

That's all. Ugh. Suddenly feel very aimless and don't feel like studying at all. Blah.

Will try to go and study now. Ciao.
